2과-Simple present (I do) 단순현재

We use the simple presentation to talk about things in general. We use it to say that something happens all the time or repeatedly, or that something is true in general. 

단순현재는 전반적으로 사용이 된다. 우리는 반복되는 상황이나 평소에 발생하는 일들 또는 진실을 이야기 할때 사용한다 

 

평소에 출근하는 사진 (반복되는 일상)

 

Nurses takes care of patients in hospitals. 간호사는 병원에서 환자를 돌본다 (평소에 있는 일들) 

I usually leave for work at 8a.m. 나는 8시에 일하러 간다 (보통 가는 시간) 

The coffee shop opens at 7:30 in the morning (보통 커피가 문여는 시간) 

 

We use do/does to make questions and negative sentences: 

does 와 do는 질문이나 부정문에 사용된다. 

 

do, don't+ 주어(I / we / you / they  + 일반 동사)

ex) I come from Japan. Where do you come from? 

don't you go to church very often?

 

does, doesn't  + 주어 (he / she / it + 일반 동사) 

ex) What does this word mean? (not what means this word?)

doesn't Rice grow in cold climates?

 

In the following examples, do is. also the main verb (do you do/ doesn't do, etc) 

do 가 일반 동사로 사용될때 ~하다 라는 의미 

 

"What do you do?" "I work in a department store." 무슨일 하니? "나는 백화점에서 일하고 있어.

He's always so lazy. He doesn't do anything to help 그는 항상 너무 게을러. 그는 아무도움도 주지 않았어. 

 

We use the simple present to say how often we do things: 

단순 현재는 자주 하는 것들이나 평소에 하던것에 사용된다

 

I get up at 8:00 every morning. 

How often do you go to the dentist? 

Julie doesn't drink tea very often. 

Robert usually plays tennis two or three times a week in the summer. 

 

I promise / I apologize, etc.  (단순현재만 쓰는 동사들) 

 

I promise I won't be late (not I'm promising) 

"What do you suggest I do?" " I suggest that you spend less money." 

In the same way, we say: I advise...../I insist..../ I refuse..../ I suppose....etc.
